LUNCH & LEARN: Process Before Tools
Description
PROCESS BEFORE TOOLS
How to Fix the Work Before You Fix the Technology
Wednesday, September 30, 2026 | 12:00–1:30 p.m. (CT)
Zoom | Free to attend
Many ministries bring in new tools hoping they will fix everyday frustrations. A new system promises clarity, efficiency, or better communication. But when teams introduce technology before clarifying how the work actually gets done, those tools often make things harder instead of easier.
This Lunch & Learn helps Christian nonprofit leaders slow down and look closely at the work itself. Together, we will focus on understanding where breakdowns really come from and how to tell the difference between a process problem and a tool problem. Often, a little clarity goes much further than a new platform.
What to Expect:
-
How to spot when confusion comes from unclear processes rather than the wrong tool
-
A simple way to map how work flows that you can use right away
-
Practical questions to ask before choosing, changing, or expanding a system
-
Conversation grounded in real ministry and operational situations
By the end of the session, participants will started mapping at least one core workflow and identified where clearer processes, not new technology, are most needed. This session is especially helpful for COOs, program directors, and operations-focused leaders who want systems that truly support their teams and mission.
This session will take place on Zoom. Bring your lunch, bring a real example from your work, and come ready to think together about how to make the work clearer before making it more technical.
