Building Impactful Relationships with Major Donors

This workshop will equip nonprofit leaders to cultivate and nurture relationships with major donors in a holistic, biblical, and community-focused way. Rather than focusing on transactional donor management, it will emphasize relational disciple-making to grow a champion community. It will encourage mutual care, growth, and deeper engagement in praying, giving, serving, learning, and sharing.

It is designed for Executive Directors, development and fundraising professionals, and fundraising-engaged board members.

As a result of this workshop, participants will: 

1. Understand how to develop major gift relationships within the context of the P-E-O (Participation, Engagement, Ownership) framework. 

2. Shift from transactional to relational approaches, viewing major donors as part of a growing ministry community. 

3. Begin to develop practical strategies to deepen champion relationships through holistic involvement (prayer, service, learning, sharing, giving). 

4. Have strategies to foster a champion community where major donors invest not only in the ministry but in each other, growing together in their support of the cause. 

5. Practice encouraging ownership, helping champions take full responsibility for advancing the mission, not just financially but through active participation.

This free workshop will be led by Julie Kouri, our Executive Director, and a long-time nonprofit leader, fundraiser, advisor, and coach.
