MAA Good Governance Session (Fall 2025 - Spring 2026)

Description

The Mission Advancement Academy (MAA) is a six-month, cohort-based experience designed to strengthen Christian nonprofit organizations in six essential areas of organizational health: strategy, impact, operations, governance, stewardship, and leadership. Through monthly workshop intensives, team coaching, and peer learning, participating organizations gain the tools, clarity, and confidence to advance their mission with greater focus, faithfulness, and effectiveness.

Each organization will participate in a mix of high-impact trainings and hands-on assignments, supported by a dedicated coach and a dynamic peer community. The experience begins with a two-night strategic and spiritual retreat and continues with five half-day workshops that equip teams to apply what they’re learning directly to their work. Topics include refining your strategy, measuring impact, strengthening your board, optimizing fundraising, and building strong leadership and team culture. Organizations that complete the program receive a $10,000 unrestricted grant to fuel their next steps forward.

At its heart, the Academy is a shared journey toward clarity, excellence, and Gospel-shaped leadership. MAA helps nonprofit teams align around their purpose, build sustainable plans for growth, and form lasting relationships with like-minded leaders committed to serving their communities with Christ-like wisdom and love.
